Free X (Twitter) tools
These free tools help with the numbers that matter on X: what creator payouts and subscriptions might pay, how engaged people are with your posts, and whether a post fits in 280 characters once links are counted the way X counts them.
X pays eligible creators through Original Content Rewards, based on engagement from verified users with original posts, and the rate moves from month to month, so the money calculator uses an editable payout rate. Divide your last payout by the verified impressions it covered to get your own. Everything runs in your browser and nothing is stored.

X tools FAQ
How much does X pay creators?
There is no fixed rate. Payouts from Original Content Rewards depend on engagement from verified users with your original posts, and creators report anything from a few dollars to a few tens of dollars per million verified impressions. Use your own past payouts in the X money calculator for a realistic estimate.
Who is eligible for X creator payouts?
Since September 2026, X pays creators through Original Content Rewards, which replaced revenue sharing. At the time of writing, you need Premium, Premium+ or Premium Business, at least 500 verified followers and at least 500,000 Home Timeline impressions from verified users on your original posts in the last 90 days, and you must be 18 or over — check current terms in your account settings.
What is a good engagement rate on X?
Measured against impressions, engagement rates on X are usually in the low single digits. Format and topic change the number a lot, so compare your posts with each other using the X engagement rate calculator rather than chasing a universal benchmark.
Is Twitter still 280 characters?
Yes, for standard accounts. Premium subscribers can post longer text, but only about the first 280 characters show before “Show more”. The X character counter counts every link as 23 characters, as X does.
Do subscriptions on X pay more than creator payouts?
It depends on your audience, but subscriptions tend to be steadier because they do not depend on how one month’s posts perform. Enter your paying subscribers and what you keep after fees in the X money calculator to compare the two.
How else do creators make money on X?
Sponsored posts, affiliate links, paid newsletters and their own products or services. Many creators use X to build an audience that buys elsewhere, so a newsletter or product can be worth more than the platform’s payouts.
